Here I have composed and arranged music to accompany the various scenes of the passion play by Michael Moynahan, S.J., which was performed on Good Friday 2003 by students of St. Joseph of Cupertino School. Two recordings are on this website: In the first, my wife, Billie, describes the descriptions of each of the 10 scenes before I play the scene music on the piano. Two hymns are sung by the congregation/audience before the play begins: An opening hymn Where You There (3 verses) followed by a processional hymn Go to Dark Gethsemane (2 verses). After the last scene, again two hymns are sung: A recessional hymn Be Still, My Soul (1 verse) and a closing hymn Jesus, Remember Me (3 verses). In the second recording, I play the entire musical score on the St. Joseph organ – without narration.
